The Philip Moore Group of Companies suggest that cloths used directly as well as indirectly in food preparation be segregated as to their use by colour coding to prevent cross-contamination. Using a colour coded system helps the user identify each individual area of cleaning. While there is no current legislation regarding colour coding the Philip Moore Group of Companies suggests the following allocation of colours:

Regular speed machine floor pads and doodle bug pads come in a variety of abrasiveness defined by the colour, the "rule of thumb" is, the darker the colour, the more abrasive the pad, the following is a suggestion of use only

PEACH	More aggressive for UHS spray buffing

JOEY	A super soft pad that will kiss and polish the floor
